More about media control than running a good race
Here's a tough factor to run against.

Put up any republican who isn't a total slimeball piece of shit and people will vote for him to "save face" for the party.

I wish democrats were more unified behind someone with the encompassing team sports spirit like HOWARD DEAN.

Republicans and Evangelicals with their heads still spinning from the last year are easy prey for a reformer fantasy. They'll see it as protecting the remnants of what they once stood for. All the media has to do is pour the great new taste of kool aid.

We need a good candidate. Someone new. Jim Webb. That way our reformer fantasy has a macho feel that they're looking for. I see Webb with the image of a "soldier fighting for democracy".

Now all the people will say yeah, but hillary, obama, edwards, etc.. Yeah, but they all have some baggage. What about a fresh start with a guy who feels like punching people. That's the kind of representation I want in Washington right now... Punches in the face.
