The Republicans won't be able to trust him ever again. Democrats don't trust him now. He's an admitted whore, and a bad one at that (my apologies to legitimate "professional" women). He is so fucking full of himself that he really believed that he could get away with this shit. I, for one, will fully enjoy watching this man go down and go down hard.

1. Tinfoil hat on...check. The illustrious and cute as hell VP Joe Biden
saw the big picture quite a while back and talked Specter into coming on over. Joe, knowing Specter for many, many, years foresaw this happening. Do ya think? Well, do ya?

2. It's the best show in town right now
He will self-destruct literally.

What's more if he really didn't remember that he had switched parties when he 'wanted Coleman (who lost) to win', then he already has early signs of dementia.
For the record I don't believe him. The truth is that he is a Rushican who found it convenient to cross the floor.

4. Convenient to cross the floor...for the purpose of fucking with the Democrats
Again, he is so full of himself, I think he imagined super powers he didn't really have. Just listen to his on-air comments..."There was no deal, I was ENTITLED to the seniority!" He really believes this, and it's come back to bite his stupid, lying ass. His goal was to be a mole in the Democratic Party, thwarting every Democratic initiative and feeding any strategic info back to the people he really serves -- the GOP.

10. My only question is why he believed Democrats would
buy that BS.
Bet he's learning fast.

Actually, I wish to clarify, not add to, my op. I didn't intend to state that I thought it was Specter's goal to be a mole and thwart the Democratic Party. While I do believe those ends played into Specter's decision to switch parties, they certainly weren't the ultimate goal.

For Arlen Specter, the ultimate goal was making sure Arlen Specter wouldn't lose his fancy office, his percs, his payola, his Government-run health care system...that's what it was about for Arlen. My point was that he is acting like a celebrity. He knows he one of the "famous" Congress critters, and he really does feel entitled to all the benefits he accrued while being a loyal Republican. He just wants to run on the winning team, and is brazen enough to admit it and shove it in our faces.

I'm glad we're shoving back. Fuck him.

15. Absolutely
I think his ego, the fat salary, health care and other percs were the real reasons for the move. I mean he literally said that - he was not prepared to give up his 29 years of service - he forgot the 'to himself part'.
I agree Fuck him.

I would love to see Specter lose the Democratic primary.

7. Flaming out like a burnt marshmallow over a campfire. This turd should go lay in the yard.
As an Amerikan voter and media consumer, I know that I'm supposed to feel sorry for Magic Bullet Dude.

When I get old and start ranting and raving like Specter-upagus, I hope my kids will keep me in check.

Where is this man's family? Someone needs to tell him: Grampa Arlen, give me your keys.

Jeez. It's just embarrassing.

17. Flaming out like a burnt marshmallow...
after the bubbling glob of goo has fallen into the campfire...to which you point and say "oh darn" then promptly forget about it. I think its about time to ol' man retired. He has lost all respect and credibility...too bad he didn't think to go out with grace and dignity...but

8. And I hope Liebereman is listening. Their arrogance is breathtaking!
The previous Congress convinced them that we were grovelling little Oliver Twist's asking, "Please sir, may have more?"

Reid and Pelosi taught them that they could be as abusive as they wanted and the Democrats would just shrivel up in contriteness while grovelling in their presence.

Sometimes it's necessary to be pissed off at all sides. Stupidity is equal opportunity across the board.
