Theory on how to get torture investigation underway

Have another government begin an investigation into how US government allowed the financial crisis to occur.
If the investigation is not limited to banks and insurers but including regulators, government branches and the Congress's role in the crisis they will find a torture investigation to be a great distraction

... since it isn't "torture", just a means of getting valuable information. Hey, wouldn't that include Cheney?

2. threats wouldn't go it and I wouldn't be willing to torture
now humiliating public exposure of their unAmerican activities including poisoning our troops in Iraq I could readily support
