DU and one of my articles cited in new book about Batman
Doing an Amazon search on my name (I told them to pull my two "Queen Victoria" books back during the whole "amazon fail" thing where they were hiding gay authors) and found a book I had not expected to find when I searched for my name:

Intrigued about why a book I had nothing to do with writing would come up in a name search, I pulled it up and did the Amazon "search inside the book" thing. It landed upon Page 206:

and jumped down to the footnotes:

The cite is to an article I wrote here back in 2004, back in the days before the "blog" system here was in place, and you still had to submit articles to Skinner for consideration. You can find it here if you want.

So, congratulations, DU. We got mentioned in a print book. Not much to cheer about, I admit, but every little bit helps. If you want to go to Barnes and Noble to buy the book, it's behind this link. Amazon is cheaper, if evil, at this link.

4. This is as close as I will ever come to being edited from Denny O'Neill.
I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

7. I don't think you could be more wrong about Batman, by the way.
And who wants to be led by a whiner like Spiderman?

Interesting take on the Dark Knight, I can certainly see the analogies.

12. Another example in fiction is Charles Bronson as Paul Kersey in Death Wish.
In Death Wish, Paul Kersey is inspired by his wife's murder to become a vigilante, but he never actually confronts his wife's killers, although he does bump into them once without knowing who they are.
