Khalid Sheikh Mohammed admitted to everything. So have the British prisoners
Is one confession any more credible than another? I would say neither of them are very credible. We all need to stop doing this shit immediately. Its unworthy human behavior no matter who is doing it.

2. I didn't see video of Mohammed confessing.
It's a transcript of a transcript, several years after he's been arrested, and likely tortured.

The British prisoners, on the other hand, seem quite candid and uncoerced.

3. Any time someone is in custody like this all confessions are considered coerced
The Brits may have appeared quite candid and not coerced but that is not the case. Take my word on this one. I don't mean they are pulling out fingernails or anything but they don't have to do that to get the desired results.

4. So why have we never seen...
such candid Guantanamo or Abu Ghraib prisoners confessing to various things?

5. My guess would be Bush hasn't felt the need to air them
Just some partial transcripts and blaring headlines are enough to convince most Americans of anything.

We know that. So does Bush and his minions.

6. Because we can't use any footage we take as PR
Unless you consider Abu Ghraib a PR success.

Don's point is that all these "confessions" should be,and are, suspect to a lot of people.

The fact that we're having this discussion shows how effective what Iran has done is.They could still overplay their hand, and seem close to doing so in my opinion, but for now they've won a PR battle with their intended audience, which I highly doubt was us.

8. McCain admitted to everything when he was captured as well
He seems to be in favor of torture as it got him to fess up...If it works then he is the war criminal the NVA claimed he was. If it doesn't work why is he backing this Administration so strongly?
