SENATE STRIPS SPECTER!!!
Oh, of his seniority...

The Senate last night stripped Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.) of his seniority on committees, a week after the 29-year veteran of the chamber quit the Republican Party to join the Democrats.

2. Well, as he himself said,
"I never said I would be a loyal Democrat," so I guess it's only fair that he be rewarded for his ::::: ahem ::::: honesty.

It's nice to be Democrats having balls for a change........................

4. Can we call that the "Magic Bullet" that effectively ended Arlen Specter's political career?
Now there's officially no reason for a real Democrat not to kick his ass in the primary.

8. Happy Day
the democrats chose not to reward someone for defecting from the GOP.
If he performs well as a democrat maybe his seniority will be restored in 2010.
I think this is carrot and stick.
Maybe next time someone comes over from the dark side, they won't start out voting against the party and declaring them as 'not loyal'
