If so, then I guess my math teachers violated the hell out of the first amendment.

2. I can just see the CNN "balanced" coverage of just such a controversy...
... two pundits on the left who say 2+2=4 and two from the right who say 2+2=5.

4. 2+2=4.5
That's how rational thought plays out in this country - if it pisses off both the right and the left, that's proof it must be correct.

5. Wait, I get it... 2 + 2 = 10 but the progressive, libral, left aborted 5
of them so 2 + 2 = 5 now, right? You just gotta figure your math right!

9. For very large values of 2 and
very small values of 5, then yes. 2+2=5. :P

12. Teachers can be, and are, attacked regularly for
anything they say or do or don't say or don't do. It happens regularly right here on DU.

And some of those attacks lead to lawsuits.

And some of those lawsuits are ridiculous.

Teachers are the ultimate national scapegoat.

13. I'm bad enough at math that I wouldn't know if 2 + 2 were 5 or not.
If you were to ask my 7th grade math teacher, may she rest in peace, if I sucked at math, she would confirm that I did in fact suck at math.

"Oh, definitely. He sucked at math. Big Time."

There are concurrent posts on DU right now on the Corbett / Farnan decisoin in California regarding Creationism. I like your comment here a lot. And I'd like to see the Farnans offer a proper response to your question.
