4. Yes, it was pretty good and informative
I just found it amusing that they would stack all those shows - four hours worth - together while the pandemic worry is out there.

6. They seem to make an effort to be topical- Jesus shows on Easter Week, etc.
They ran a pretty interesting "future history" kind of mockumentary on Peak Oil when gas was up to $4.50 or something last year. The funny thing was, a lot of the stuff that had probably seemed dramatic and unlikely (Nobody can sell their SUV! Oh noes! We'll have to carpool with the neighbors to get groceries!) when they were filming already was going on while I was watching the thing.

5. The Next Plague one was fairly horrific
Showing the absolute worst case scenario. They did have one short interview with someone who disagreed with that possibility and took a more moderate attitude. And they made clear their extrapolation was the worst possible case.

9. I watched History Channel from 8-11 and not about plagues
Edited on Sun May-03-09 11:28 PM by RamboLiberal
9PM was Sun-Tzu and the Art of War with how it relates to Vietnam, D-Day and the American Civil War. 10PM was a series about what would happen to cities like Chicago & London 300 years after humans are gone.

You were watching one of the up-channel History-International shows not the main History Channel.

10. Whups! You're right! Shows how great I am functioning tonight!

Now I'm wondering what is going on on TLC - there is a show called "Guess Who's Coming Over?" The description reads "A self-described redneck plays host to a black man." WTF? This is programming? I am not even going there! In fact, I cannot remember the last time I watched anything on TLC.

DirecTV - 200 channels and nothing to watch!
