fuck you orrin hatch

they are already attacking a non-choice

empathy....–noun
1. the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another.
2. the imaginative ascribing to an object, as a natural object or work of art, feelings or attitudes present in oneself: By means of empathy, a great painting becomes a mirror of the self.

1. Yeah Hatch is already coming up with language to justify opposing any nominee.
Sounds like "activist" is going to be it, for now.

"Empathy" is about the least controversial term Obama could have used. Oh I suppose it's actually necessary they be a hard hearted asshole.

11. When Orrin says shit like that, I always wonder how he and Ted Kennedy can be such good friends.
It defies expectations. It's like the "old days" in DC, and it's surprising that their friendship has lasted so long.

14. "Strict constructionist" is NOT code language, Orrin?
Using the republican rationale is like using a 220 year old map to try and get from point A to point B..

".....travel south east for 2 days, until you get to the stand of willow trees by the bank of the river, and then by canoe past the Indian settlement, then go east for 3 days until you reach the fort..."

16. Laura Ingraham called
Obama's desire for an empathetic justice "just loony." That comment crystallized the difference between Democratic and Republicans for me. So, it's "loony" to believe that court decisions affect ordinary people? And the repubs wonder why they are now a marginalized, regional party?

No matter who he picks, THEY are going to cry "activist," so my feeling is, I hope he just goes ahead and picks a flaming liberal ACTIVIST. Let them cry.
