SCOTUS appointment - stating the obvious
just want to go on record regarding Obama's SCOTUS appointment:

The blatherheads are speculating on WHO Obama will appoint, and blathering about how it will or won't effect the makeup of the court - they haven't pointed out the obvious

No matter WHO Obama appoints - the NOPers are going to oppose the nominee in one fashion or another.

With NOPers opposing anything and everything, they have become an irrelevant factor regarding setting policy, writing legislation and in the process of selecting nominees for appointed positions. The NOPers have "obsoleted" themselves.

As another DUer once stated: "If Obama walked on water, the Republicans would say it's because he can't swim"

2. So, they've made themselves irrelevant. Hope they are
willing to take personal responsibility for their own demise but I doubt it.

3. NOPers take responsibilty?
that's at least an oxy-"moran"

of course they won't take responsibility or even admit their neo-con reich-wing positions had the least bit to do with it

While Obama's win in November wasn't on the same magnitude as the Reagan landslide of winning 49 out of 50 states, nor Nixon's landslide of 49 out of 50 - it was a clear a decisive win and clearly indicates a mandate by the American people.

Contrast that with bush's "wins", in 2000 bush carried 30 states out of 50, and in 2004 he had 31 out of 50, with vote total differences in the 3-million range - yet the repubs rallied around and called it a mandate by the American people.

The NOPers recently announced a "re-branding" of sorts - in reality - it's a RB-INO (re-branding in name only). They say they are open to listening to new ideas and views. Reality says they will listen to new ideas with their fingers in the ears and loudly singing "Laa-laaa-laaa".
