Rep. Kingston (R-GA) "The Democrats' honeymoon is fixing to end. It's going to explode like an IED"
From the WaPo article - "Democrats To Widen Conflict With Bush" (what a headline, sheesh) - I posted to my journal earlier tonight...

(April 01, 2007 -- 10:57 PM EDT)
Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA): "The Democrats' honeymoon is fixing to end. It's going to explode like an IED."

Maybe he can go try that one out on some of the kids over at Walter Reed.

2. And how did this jackass get elected? Oh, wait, I think I already know . . .
Could it be by brandishing the Osama bin Laden Voodoo Doll of Terror in one hand, while thumping the Jesus-tub with the other?

Very possibly so!

13. Conspiracy theorist...much?
No way the Publicans would steal elections. Just because they made sure the voting machines couldn't be checked doesn't mean they would use them to steal elections. What's the matter with you? Publicans would never do such a thing!

Max Cleland’s Surprise Loss

In November 2002, popular Georgia Democratic Senator Max Cleland led by 5 percentage points prior to the election – the first ever conducted entirely on touch-screen voting machines [DRE]. But then a mysterious swing of 12 percent on election day led to his defeat.

Now it's down to the hard work of investigations & indictments. The explosions you hear are BushCo operatives rocketing off in all directions.

21. Very possibly.
I've never understood a lot of people. I'm a Dem because, among other things, I feel the need to make my life and other's better. Some, are self centered, others find their life to be just fine the way it is. To me, humaninty is to do better. Oh well, just my opinion.

14. Honeymoon?
Hell, the Republicans were pre-emptively bitching about the Democratic majority in the House and Senate for weeks before it was installed. What honeymoon is Mr. Kingston talking about? And, by the way, Mr. Kingston? If you're confused about the difference between the political battles of running the country and the real live shootin' battles of an occupation, I have a few suggestions that might help make the distinction a little clearer.

19. No doubt this is *inside* info he got from fellow Georgian Newt.

Which would make him at least twice an idiot.

Once for still claiming to be a rethuglican after the November routs.

And twice for having anything to do with sleazebag Gingrich.

25. Kingston: Americans Should ‘Marry and Work Longer Hours’ To Escape Poverty
Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA) made headlines last month after complaining about Congress’ new schedule that requires members to work five days a week:

“Keeping us up here eats away at families,” said Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga.), who typically flies home on Thursdays and returns to Washington on Tuesdays. “Marriages suffer. The Democrats could care less about families — that’s what this says.”

Yet, last night, Kingston offered this advice to Americans living in poverty: work longer hours. During House debate over the minimum wage, Kingston said raising the minimum wage would do nothing for poor Americans. Instead, if people marry and work longer hours, “they would be out of poverty,” he said. “It’s an economic fact.”

28. I hardly ever see him visiting his legally blind father who is my neighbor
so this "Keeping us up here eats away at families” is total BS.

I believe that I've met Jack once since 1994 when I moved into the neighborhood.

BTW, his dad is a retired university professor. I've never talked politics with him or discussed his son's political career.

Jack is a complete embarrassment to the state of Georgia. :grr:

God, I long for the days when the likes of Sen. Sam Nunn, Sen. Max Cleland and (former governor) Jimmy Carter were among our most famous politicians and elected officials.

Now we have Phil 'porn 'stache' Gingery (who is an OB-GYN - ewwwwwww!) and Lynn 'doesn't know the ten commandments are' Westmoreland. My congressman, Charlie Norwood just died so I currently have no representation. I'm about 100% sure, due to GOP redistricting, that my next congressman will be a Republic from Augusta. My former Democratic congressman and and former county commissioner, John Barrow, was redistricted out of his home district here where I live and he had to move to Savannah to run for re-election.

Jack: you are a total moran. :grr:
