Incidents that have been healing events lately after the last 6 dark years.
First, listening to Welton Gaddy on State of Belief on AAR. I have been angry toward religion since my church called us unpatriotic for opposing the war. He is a preacher who does no judging of others. I listen to him, and I start losing some of my anger.

Second, following Elizabeth and John Edwards and their coping of the recurrence of cancer. They are amazing, and they are doing the right thing. It is like I am on that journey with them, praying for her, and seeing the courage it takes. We have dealt with that fear of a recurrence, and it is so hard. I think they will help a lot of people who follow their actions in pursuing a campaign after being kicked in the gut with such news. Keeping on with your life is right and strengthens.

It is healing to see a few of the criminals in this administration get justice.

It has been healing to see Governor Dean stay on board for the party after the tactics of humiliation were used so horribly against him. He just keeps on doing what is best for the party. He just keep working.

Another healing moment was the visit with some relatives who are staunch Republicans. Seeing their turnaround to realism meant so much. There had been such pain between us for years.

Just an aside on this. Someone let me know I had the honor of being ridiculed at CU for that post. Since they still call me a "mole", I find it interesting. They really hit me hard for this post, so I consider that a compliment. I guess I could call that healing as well. Maybe I will make their list someday of top ten DUmmies. ;)
