Is it really "only the left wing" that wants the torture investigated and
punished?. .The "mainstream" media is sure making it look that way. Where are the moderates who don't think that it's "ok" that torture was done in their name? Do NO conservatives consider torture to be a "radical" thing to do?

I will not believe this crap unless I see proof.

3. There's really nothing to prove. It's becoming part of the natural definition of right vs. left.

4. There's nothing "natural" about it. It is carefully tended and
fostered by people who want to be able to torture without repercussion.

5. Yep, only us dirty fuckin' hippies
Which puts about three-fourths of the country into that camp. The media are, once again, remarkably out of touch with what most of the people want, because they talk to and listen to people whose asses are on the line if this inquiry goes forward. Bank robbers don't really want the FBI investigating their crimes. Murderers would be a lot happier if the cops weren't so obsessed with solving every suspicious death. And high level political functionaries would just as soon not look too closely or too deeply into who tortured, who was tortured, who died as a result of torture, who ordered the torture, who authorized the torture and so on and so forth. And all of them for the exact same reasons.

So the media, who listen almost exclusively to these criminals, get the impression that it's just a bunch of radical hatas trying to get to the bottom of this, and see if we can't retrieve a few scraps of our national dignity and honor.

7. That's pretty much what I thought. If it weren't for Keith & Rachel
I just wouldn't see it reflected anywhere on the TV machine..

You put it very well.

6. The Right calls anything they want to belittle or minimize "far radical leftist"
They're trying to cloud the issue with the steam rising off their big pile of elephant dung.

GOP SOP.
