After refusing to cover press conference, Obama doesn’t call on Fox

<SNIP> After its affiliate was the only network not to carry President Obama’s press conference Wednesday night, Fox News is out in the cold.

At Obama’s press conference, which lasted nearly a full hour, Obama called on a wide array of reporters, representing media organizations from the Detroit News to the Associated Press. He also called on all three major networks — ABC, NBC and CBS.

But not Fox News. Fox (its sister network) decided not to carry Obama’s press conference live, instead deciding to run the drama “Lie to Me.” The networks generally carry presidential press conference live, but executives have grumbled because the events shave advertising dollars off the evening’s schedule.

“Obama called on Fox News White House Correspondent Major Garrett in his previous two press conferences,” ThinkProgress notes.

But Obama hasn’t always been so keen on Fox. Prior to his first presidential press conference in November, the president hadn’t called on Fox at five consecutive events.

2. Why call on them? They're sick propaganda...
...not a serious news organization.

They are a pox, and there's no need to legitimize the disease that is "Fox News".

Obama shouldn't leave them out, in retaliation. He should leave them out--because calling
on them legitimizes lies and distortions.

4. I agree
If he calls on Fox then he should let The Enquirer and The Sun ask questions also.

5. Actually...
I think the Enquirer gets right more often than FOX does.
