1. Welcome back but I don't think so

This writing and a link to a youtube vid which is not what you describe lead me to one conclusion. Oh yes, here's the direct youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjnJzNBka8o
I find it interesting that Obama decided not to rise above the rhetoric that was used on MSNBC, but rather joined the starkly partisan chorus of dismissing the concerns of the protesters.
He says he is willing to have a serious discussion about cutting spending, but unfortunately a lot of the damage is already done. He carefully avoids the topic of bailouts and stimulus money, which served as the true motivation of the protesters.
The good news for the protesters is that the fact that Obama feels the need to openly mock the protesters shows that not only are they on his radar, but he is worried enough about them that he feels he needs to discredit them with humor.

6. No at all. It's an interesting point.
I don't the president of the United States should be mocking any large citizen protest--even one as intellectualy vacuous as the tea party brain fart. Arguing with their views is one thing, but mocking isn't constructive when it comes from the people's representative.

I disagree with the poster you linked to, but I think we as Democrats should be aware of what our critics & detractors are saying.

7. Good Point
That's a good point. I think completely dismissing the Right is what got us in trouble in the early years of the Bush administration. I really think it is changing with Obama. The tea parties are almost just an extreme example and Obama couldn't help himself.

Obama challenging teabaggers to a discussion is seriously mocking them. Right.
