"Mallard Fillmore" to be animated
Cartoon Network has just announced that, as a result of the enormous success of "The Boondocks," they will begin working on a new series for Adult Swim: "Mallard Fillmore," based on a successful comic strip created by Bruce Tinsley.

The comic centers around a duck named Mallard Fillmore, who is the only conservative in a small news station located in Washington D.C.

26 episodes were ordered. Episodes include "Brainwashing," where Mr. Noseworthy is trying to brainwash Mallard into becoming a liberal so he has enough members to his "I Hate America" club, and "Terrorists," where Mallard tries to prove to everyone that every single Muslims in the world are terrorists, but nobody believes him.

Radio personality Rush Limbaugh will voice Mallard. The series will begin airing in Fall.

2. Wow! This should rank up there with numerous recent successful Dennis Miller shows!
Tinsley was a one-trick-pony hack at UVA, and has never avanced beyond that level.

3. 'Mallard Fillmore' is a perverted affirmative action for the humor-impaired
Two thousand years from now, archaeologists will unearth copies and regard this era as lacking not only a sense of humor but any intellect whatsoever.

5. April fools. I watch cartoon network and there is no way imo they would ever
greenlight a Mallard Fillmore show.

19. Indeed. This one didn't fool me for a second.
A few others have sucked me in this year, but
this wasn't even close.

6. April effing fool, huh?
If there was any truth to this, I'd be packing up my stuff to make a permanent departure from these untied states. But there ain't no way in hell any kind of humor could be sustained for 26 episodes. The strip has been in the papers now for what? 20 years or so and it hasn't been funny yet. So what are the chances. No, I'm not buying this.

10. That's not right.
Rush is a pill popper, while Mallard's a boozer fowl that's been arrested twice for DUI. Nick Nolte would fit Mallard much better.

13. oh you're missing out on "The grim adventures of Billy and Mandy"
my daughter got me hooked on that show. I've been watching adult swim for a couple of years and i love but they also have some great prime time shows. Fosters home for imaginary friends is another good one.

and I.M. Weasel. GAoB&M is often quite good. Futurama, Metalocalypse and ATHF still rule. The metal band in the practice space next to my band's is so incredibly loud we have started calling them Dethklok.

Cow and Chicken with their pork butts and cousin boneless-hilarious.
