First Lady Fashion

ELIE TAHARI has designed a dress inspired by America's First Lady called the "Michelle".

Speaking on CNN's American Morning, the designer, known for his versatile collections, said: "I noticed when I saw her that she wears bare shoulders and she had great arms. She has a great style, and what's great about her is she dressing like everyone else can dress."

While in London last month for the G20 Summit, Michelle Obama won praise for her style wearing outfits by Jason Wu and Isabel Toledo (whose Inauguration outfit for the First Lady goes on display at the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology in June).

Ticking summer's seasonal trend box, the dress is a one-shouldered number and will be available in floral print and solid colour in July and October respectively, reports WWD.
