I love Spring! It's going away from me, but it's in the same city. Power flashes confirmed and everything. I hope everyone over there is ok.

Update: May be a new one developing, about 4 small towns are in the path of all of this nasty weather.

4. I'm in Houston. We had a 3 hour thunder, lightening, and rain
storm yesterday evening. Here, 6.7 inches of rain in about 2 hours.

The weatherman had no clue, predicted okay weather.

In my next life, I want to be a weatherman. :eyes:

15. Not really. We had at least 10" last weekend.
Normally that's nice, but puhleeze!

Lots of rain, I'm not bemoaning (ha!) it, and that's the way Houston, the bayou city, rolls.

This rain has killed some plants in my garden, but I'll live. I know there are places that need it.

16. I used to work for Atmospheric Services,
Environment Canada.

The chief meteorologist used to moan, "If I were a witch doctor casting bones, I'd be right as often."

5. It's been a long time since
we had really bad weather like an actual tornado around where I live. I haven't wished for a storm shelter in a long time!

The panhandle of Texas where you can see your porch light from 20 miles away. LOL!!

3. Yup there was a huge wind outside my parent's apartment tonight. And some flashes. I didn't see a
funnel cloud but the winds were really strong and blew an awning about a block to some electrical wires. The police blocked off the street.

I live in Ontario. We don't usually get tornadoes. Don't know what the "wind event" was tonight and am staying up to see what they say about it on the local news.

7. I think I'd rather deal with tornados than earthquakes though.
Tornadoes usually come with warnings. Earthquakes have the extra fun element of surprise.

11. I stayed in California one Summer.
I experienced a couple of Earthquakes, one was almost 7 on the Ricter (spelling?) scale and it scared the crap out of me. I was scared of loud noises for a couple of months afterward.
