12. Russert kept saying Hatch is in line to become AG after Gonzo lands under the bus.
Said it's all the buzz around Washington.

20. I wish the issue wouldn't be so narrowly framed as to be just about
whether or not he was inaccurate about being involved in USA firing decisions. First, it shouldn't be surprising that he was involved. Second, it should be obvious to everyone that he wasn't entirely accurate and talking about evidence and fine points of perjury is distracting. Third, THERE ARE FAR MORE HEINOUS ISSUES to talk to Gonzales about than this. When Hatch defends the guy as a decent man, Leahy should ask him why he defines torture as only existing when someone intentionally causes permanent organ failure...or why Gonzales stated that there's no constitutional right to habeous corpus...or ways in which USA firings affected investigations...or what loyal bushies means....or why he thinks illegal wiretapping is necessary...or why prosecution of pulluters and is at an all time low....on and on...

Why pundits and dems insist on addressing each issue in a vacuum, as though it's not related to hundreds of other misdeeds is beyond me.

Hatch was tap-dancing as fast as he could.

I think they're all (Repugs) up against the wall. Don't know how to spin it anymore.

15. protest too much?
All of Orifice's balthering was trumped by the
fact that Gonzo lied on TV to all of us.
His pathetic and dishonest defense of Gonzo only
highlights what;s wrong with republicans... they are liars.
And bad ones at that.

16. Hatch is posturing like a defense attorney rather than the People's representative.
He's so baldly and blatantly acting against the nation's interests, he should be (in a just society) impeached - or tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.

19. Hatch said the fired US Atty in Arkansas said Griffen (Rove's replacement) was his right hand man?
and one of the best prosecutors he had? Has anyone heard this? I didn't know Griffen worked in the US Atty's office....for how long? Remember, he's the guy "who makes the bullets that kill Democrats."

KoKo01 just started this thread. I'll bet Hatch will never let THIS little gem of information slip into the conversation!

23. Don't you remember Hatch when Clinton was being investigated
by Congress again and again? He was loudly protesting against the "nitpicking" that Congress was doing, and the assumptions that he was lying with no evidence.

(that of course was sarcasm). They are all so hypocritical, I can hardly stand it.
