A gunman entered a Plano home early Saturday and seriously wounded his wife and two other people before leading police on a high-speed chase, authorities said

The man, whose named had not been released, walked into the home in the 1500 block of Windy Meadow Drive about 2:40 a.m. and shot his wife, another woman and a man, Plano police spokesman Andrae Smith said.

Officers responding to the shooting spotted the SUV driving west on Parker Road near Rainer Road — about a mile from where the shooting occurred. When officers turned on their emergency lights and sirens, the SUV accelerated, Smith said.

The vehicle hit a light pole and flipped several times through a shopping center parking lot. The man was ejected from the SUV, which landed on top of him and caught fire. Several officers lifted the burning SUV and rescued the man, Smith said.

1. If only all those people had concealed carry permits...
And never went to sleep.

2. Unless you were a friend of his, sounds like you had nothing to worry about.
There's a town near where I work that has historically high crime rates...almost exclusively domestic violence.

I don't worry too much...

3. We should just have a standard headline for these crimes:
"If I can't have you, nobody can." It covers all the domestic violence case murders, even where the wife AND kids are murdered.
