Sometimes I read DU just to get pissed off. Entertainment value ya know.
Sometimes I like to just shake my head in wonderment about some folks' views (try the 9/11 forum some head shaking stuff).

It seems we have all types here, and I love ya all dearly. You help take the blahs out of my day when I am down. It's like bubble world where people who all hold certain core ideals come together and bounce all over the place on just about every issue. Smoking. Guns. Spanking. Religion. Candidates. And so on and so forth.

It's like a damned powder keg and we got our flamethrowers on full blast :)

Which is why I can't see using ignore or blocking myself. I don't care if you do. And I don't see myself as better than those that do use those features. I think I would just be missing some of the most enjoyable parts of DU. The back and forth smack downs where I actually see both points of view, even if presented in a snide or crappy way.

And I don't care if they keep the feature, just means people will be more creative in how they put on the WWF-DU smackdown.

I don't get entertainment like this on my TV. No way in hell am I gonna block any of the 'channels' I get ;) HELL we even got AD's! Just like my tv, only better.

As the old saying goes 'Flamed once, reply twice'.

I read for the replies as much as I do for the OP's. So keep hitting me with a fish upside the head, cause my sick and twisted ass loves it

We now take you back to our regularly scheduled candidate and bush flame fests.

I love DU.

3. Oh, it's always lots of fun, even if you're not in a posting mood. Especially (put your ear
way up close to your screen, because I have to whisper) those folks in the 9/11 forum. They're not LIKE the rest of us.

11. MM, how you been? Don't remember having seen you for a while.
But if I have, and we've talked recently, don't get upset; you know how bad my memory is.

9/11 AND AMERICAN EMPIRE: Intellectuals Speak Out
Reviewed by Carolyn Baker

"Surely there can be no higher duty for academics and other intellectuals at this time than to expose the big lie of 9/11, thereby undermining the primary pretext for the global domination project." --Morgan Reynolds, Professor Emeritus of Economics, Texas A& M University (P. 115 of 9/11 And American Empire)

SNIP

Or as Professor and Ret. Lt.Colonel, Karen Kwiatkowski, states in her article in 9/11 American Empire, entitled “Assessing The Official 9/11 Conspiracy Theory”:

To question the official 9/11 story is simply, and fundamentally revolutionary. In this way, of course, questioning the official story is also simply and fundamentally American.

SNIP

Swiss history professor, Daniele Ganser, in his article, “The ‘Strategy Of Tension’ In The Cold War Period” makes one of the most profound statements in the book when he says that, “It is important to stress that all of the theories about 9/11 are conspiracy theories,” adding that a conspiracy is merely a secret agreement between two or more persons to engage in a criminal act -- nothing new or unusual in the field of historical research. Therefore, says Ganser, “Once we realize that none of the theories can be dismissed on the grounds that it is a ‘conspiracy theory,’ the real question becomes: Which conspiracy theory correctly describes the 9/11 conspiracy?”(P. 80)

SNIP

Richard Falk, Professor Emeritus of Law at Princeton University, in his article “Global Ambitions and Geopolitical Wars: The Domestic Challenge,” notes that many extraordinarily suspicious events have occurred in the United States in the last century -- events that bear on the legitimacy of the process of governance, and these have been repeatedly shielded from mainstream inquiry by being re-inscribed as the wild fantasies of conspiracy theorists. Thus, “The issue never gets resolved and lingers in the domain of limbo, beclouded by suspicion, but unresolved so far as opinion-makers are concerned -- and thus ignored.” (P.120) Certainly, individuals of my generation are all-too familiar with the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and Martin Luther King as stellar examples of suspicious events that have never gotten resolved.

16. Oh, now the SWISS are into the discussion? Wasn't Eric Von Daniken Swiss?
So, has anyone looked at the parallels between his "Pathways of the Gods" and 9/11?

Well? Have they? HUH?

I didn't THINK so.

Makes you wonder about those SWISS, doesn't it?
