Iran (the country) is being portrayed as the biggest threat to Western democracy by RW pundits and even alluded to by the POTUS as a grave impediment to peace in the middle east.

The OP, in effect, is ridiculing this notion by pointing out that Iran has NO internationally operating navy. NOR is it likely to in the near (and far) future. Nor does it have a powerful Air Force. But that is outside the OP's scope at the moment.

In fact, Iran is no threat to anyone at all despite what you may hear. Sure, they may have nuclear reactors. And may even be capable of producing enough weapons-grade plutonium to make a bomb somewhere in the future, say five years. But today? It is to laugh.

Anyway, where was I? Oh, yes, the lack of threat thing. Look, not even Turkey, Pakistan, Turkmenistan or Afghanistan are too concerned about Iran's capability to wage war, let alone their INTENT. And they're the NEIGHBORS!
