Thom Hartmann had a great tale on the second hour of his show yesterday about his trip back to Central Michigan involving a confrontation with a gun shop owner. You can listen to it here:

Basically, Thom (who is not for Federal gun control except for advanced military weapons and is a sport shooter himself) went into a gun shop in Michigan to get a particular type of ammo. The guy said you can only have two boxes and Thom asked 'Why only two?'. The owner said because Obama figured he can't take people's guns, he'll take away their ammo. He then told Thom about House Bill 47 (he meant House Bill 45), and how this bill will close the shop down and people will get tracked, etc. etc.
House Bill 45 was introduced by Bobby Rush of Illinois and has had no co-sponsors and has zero chance of going anywhere, but that hasn't stopped the massive email campaign designed to instigate the angry villagers. As a result, gun shops are being emptied of their wares in a mad rush 'to get in before the bans'. I label myself as pro-gun and a Democrat, so I understand the frustration of Thom in dealing with these people.
