Breaking: More Video of Obama & Chavez Surfaces

New video of a behind-the-scenes meeting between Barack Obama and Hugo Chavez has surfaced. While there's no audio, it does provide a bit of a contrast with the still images we've seen and the little official video we've seen.

This is actually a pretty interesting development, considering that the video shows a much more serious conversation than what we've seen.

1. Obama looks like he's firmly in control of the conversation, he looks very Presidential IMO.
Hugo looks like he's listening to Obama very intently. Obama engages in diplomacy the way you're supposed to. He is the total opposite of Bush. :D

2. Doubling Around The Strawman...
While there are many things one can be critical of Chavez, he has never been a threat to this country. For all his rhetoric, much of it was aimed at the past regime and I think many here would agree with the general message he was saying...not necessarily the way he did it...or the way he's handled his own internal politics.

The corporate media...who couldn't create enough boogiemen, along with the Right wing "Mighty Wurlitzer" found Chavez as the "next Castro" (one of many they've paraded over the past 50 years). The fact the past regime ran a rogue international policy; always ready to confront rather than negotiate, the outrage about Chavez was more hat than cattle in the first place...and now that President Obama is doing what this country should always do...be open and listening. That's what a leader does...and a fact totally missed by the corporate media. I just heard, yet again, how Chavez is some brutal dictator...despite being elected in what some could easily say in a similar fashion to their boy boooshie.

3. I wonder if in Venezuela Chavez is being criticized for being friendly
to the country that tried to overthrow the Venezuelan government. :)
