I believe that for now the the Democrats are getting great Media coverage as to torture.
After the last standing hard right Media clown gets knocked off his torture was justified, then most likely some Congressional Republicans will give up to get reelected and they will be forced into voting for Constitutional changes so torture will be a thing of the past.

The fact that Bush whined about the exposure of his approval of torture and how horrible it was proves IMO that Obama did good.

1. I think the breaking story about torturing children with insects...
...along with Sy Hersh's earlier reports about sodomizing children in order to get their parents talking will have a devastating effect on the whole sorry Bush administration.

No matter what you political leanings are, no one tolerates victimizing children! :grr:

2. And by Obama releasing a statement on CIA Agents,
although many did not like it,
he avoided an accusatory finger being pointed at his motives,
which the press would have loved to have done in the name of distraction,
allowing the press to focus in on the issue at hand;
the torture memos, and the information on what they contained.
This coverage strengthens the hand of those who would want to pursue
those who formulated these policies to begin with.

3. What Constitutional changes? Should it be double-unconstitutional instead of just unconstitutional?

place to start is locking down the way it reads. IMO this torture thing is treated and probably written like the 2nd Amendment which needs help so both sides are not positive that they got it right.
