Gentle Therapy for Traumatized Right Wingers

Right wingers must be feeling pretty traumatized these days. Everything they thought was true has turned out to be nonsense. It's probably too rough on them to bring them up to speed all at once, so it might be a good idea to allow them to regress from time to time.

Close your eyes and think of 2003. You'll be much happier! Let your mind drift back to the days of "Mission Accomplished."

See? I told you you'd feel much better. Relax, Bush is in charge. Bring 'em on.

Disclaimer: The above advice applies only to people who've been in denial since 2006. These folks are pretty far gone, so it's best to bring them along gradually. For those whose trauma occurred in 2008, a less gentle approach may be preferable. Tell them "At the count of three, I want you to snap out of it." . . . one . . . . . two . . . . . . three!!

1. It's not rough on them at all, but for the wrong reason

"Everything they thought was true has turned out to be nonsense."

But far too many of them STILL believe everything they have always thought.
Facts and truth are nothing more to them than cumbersome obstacles, but
nothing they can't overcome. The trauma has only come to those few of them
who have seen through the haze.
