A Reporter Telling The Truth Is Not Bias
Edited on Thu Apr-16-09 01:53 PM by mudesi
What Susan Roesgen did yesterday was what all reporters were supposed to do: Her JOB.

For those completely out of the loop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMxKMr2wnhk&feature=related">Watch the video. It's short and it's worth it

She didn't express any opinions, she reported facts that would otherwise have went unreported had she allowed those ignorant teabaggers to spread outright falsehoods. She made sure to report the complete TRUTH about Fox News being a right wing propaganda network which completely endorsed yesterday's rallies.

If Susan Roesgen appeared to have a liberal bias, well then maybe it's because the truth has a liberal bias.

She ought to be commended for a job well done.

1. Not the reporter's job to debate the "man on the street" s/he interviews.

2. It's worth reading Al Franken's writings on so-called "media bias"
He lists several reasons why wingnuts perpetuate the myth of "media bias".

First, it creates reluctance among mainstream media outlets to cover issues that conservatives don't want them to, for fear that they will be accused of having a liberal bias. Second, it allows conservatives to deny or dismiss reports in the mainstream media, regardless of whether they are true, because they have discredited the source already. Third, attacking the media can be effective at increasing conservative voter turnout.
