2. So are they protesting Bank of America? THAT would be understandable. Bet
they aren't, but it IS ironic that they are standing in front of it - AND with a poorly spelled sign too.

Priceless.

7. At least he got the apostrophe right
That makes him a genius in teabag terms. As for "alot", I see that a lot on DU too, so it's cross-party stupidity.

16. Language constantly changes; good grammar doesn't.
For example, most modern English speakers would think of the English spoken in the 1930s as quaint and hokey, and would be baffled by the common idioms of that time. Basic English grammar rules, however, haven't changed.

18. The grammar of Shakespeare, the grammar of Chaucer,
and our grammar are quite a bit different. Grammar does change. If it didn't, the grammar of English (a Germanic language) would still be identical with the grammar of old German, (or even Frisian) which it obviously isn't.

Most people today don't really have a clue about the proper grammatical use "thou", "thee", "thy", and "thine". Noun/pronoun case declensions have largely disappeared from English, and the few that are left seem to be trying to disappear, if it weren't for relentless grammar cops who keep trying to rescue them by bestowing the mantle of "correctness" upon them.

Most of the so-called rules of English grammar we were taught in school were forced on English by 19th century grammarians who tried to describe English grammar using Latin grammatical principles. It was a bad fit, and resulted in a bunch of stupid rules bearing little resemblance to reality. ("A preposition is a bad thing to end a sentence with." True in Latin, so therefore true in English, right? No way!)

19. WRONG!!!
Ever wonder why the contracted 've form of "have" is often mis-wrote as "of"? it's because the contracted form is losing it's connection with the full word and is becoming an affix of modal auxiliary verbs marking the perfective aspect. And "Got to" has evolved into a grammatical particle "gonna" that marks for the future tense and is coming to replace "will". The spoken language is the real language, not the formalized written language.
