I Just Wonder: Did The U.S. Make ANY Attempt At Negotiation?
I haven't heard or read about anything other than the Navy SEALS simultaneously shooting three guys in the head and saving the captain. Were there any attempts to negotiate with the pirates at all? Were there any attempts to resolve the situation peacefully? If there were I didn't hear about it. I'm not saying there weren't, I'm just saying the media may not have bothered to report it.

Because it would seem to me that if there were NOT any attempts at all to negotiate, then I'd have a big problem with what was done. Whenever a hostage situation arises, the first thing the police ever do is try to resolve it without violence. It's my understanding that the captain attempted to escape like three times, and every time the pirates stopped him, but didn't kill him. They may never have had any intention of killing him.

So tell me - Any attempts at a peaceful resolution? Or was it all simply a matter of kill 'em all and let God sort them out....

1. Yes, we did. And it wasn't until negotiations broke down that
other measures were taken. It looked like the hostage was going to be killed.

2. The asshole they did not hang from a yardarm
was there on the naval ship NEGOTIATING. That is the one going on trial rather than to g bay.
