All the players were there, only one of my immediate family and the rest were my sil's family. Every thing was going just fine, a lot of small talk and laughs until this statement was made," Obama is just another black man living in government assisted housing". I tried to think of a reply to counter this racsist fool but decided to let it pass. A little while later the conversation turned to tax cuts. This same man made the brilliant staement that he didn't get a tax cut from Obama. so I asked him if he earned 250 grand a year, he laughed and said no. His take home pay was $24 a week more but it's not a real tax cut. Right then his wife chimed in and said it wasn't a real tax cut because now they will get a smaller refund at the end of the year. I feel sorry for Obama having to deal with the stupidity and mindset that has been engrained into a lot of the working stiffs in this country. I sometimes wish McCain would have won the election, the entertainment value would have been priceless.

But two of my cousins married right-wing morons for some reason. One of them even has a clever "Nobama" bumper sticker. :eyes: So when we all get together, they sit and whine to each other and everybody else just leaves the room. Poor babies. 7. What is your problem?

If you pay less taxes you have received a tax cut. Is that too difficult to understand. No one has talked about tax credits. Withholding tax rates have been cut. A credit means you apply after the end of the year, for instance, child credits or mortage credits etc... A tax cut is when your withholding tax from your weekly paycheck has been lowered and you get to take home more money in your paycheck...

much? Unless you are living on another planet, people earning under $250,000 you will receive a tax "cut." It is called a tax cut - not a tax credit.
