Wow... Check Out FDIC's "Failed Bank List" For 2009... So Far...

Could be more important to consider who's NOT on the list, or not being allowed to be placed on the list, so far.

Most of us - okay, I - think of my local banks as the silver linings. Maybe not.

5. I'm Thinkin The Same Thing...
The big banks are not supposed to talk about their status, how they did with the stress tests, or anything else that would hint at their true solvency.

The small and medium banks... not so much.

4. This list includes banks which have failed since October 1, 2000
23 in 2009 so far. All seem to be small banks. Still not a good sign.

25 in 2008

27 from 2000-2007
