What Could Possibly Be The Friday Night News Dump This Week?
Edited on Fri Mar-30-07 01:46 PM by Demeter
We've had dumping 24/7 since Monday--if we don't get a major suicide or resignation or firing (or all 3) I'll be mighty amazed!

1. I never did understand that logic
that if its in Saturday's newspaper no one will read it. I read at least two newspapers on Saturday and troll the internet seven days a week. Most intellectually curious liberals do.

2. Not to mention...
The Sunday news shows which I TRY to watch unless the bias is just too intense that day (I've been missing them quite a bit lately...hmmm...).

3. The WH media works Monday-Friday
If something is dumped on Friday night after the media has gone home for the weekend, the White House has a whole 48 hours to get their spin ready for the next press conference/daily briefing on Monday. That is, if nothing else major happened on Sunday, or on Monday morning.

If something happens Sunday-Thursday, there will be questions the next day when the media meets with first Ari Fleischer, then Scotty, then Snow, and now Perino.

6. I'd've thought they'd spend the weekends scanning the material, before West Wing clued me in...
...to the concept of the "dump."

MSM has the resources, gods know, to at least assign interns to the task over the weekend, so the "name" reporters can be called back in to get rolling. It still seems bizarre to me that they can't be bothered.

Good thing we have the Internets.
