But damn, they are expensive. Idea is that to protect our ability to be free and safe we need to defend ourselves from those who would take away life and liberty.
Staying alive is pretty important to be able to have liberty.
So then my fellow citizens and I came upon and idea. Pool our money for our defense.
That worked really well. We have the best defense on the planet. I felt safe.
Then a friend got sick and needed expensive meds and treatment. He needed personal defense from something that was threatening to remove his life and liberty.
So I got with my friends again. Only this time it did not seem important to them because they were not sick or already had enough money if they did. They didn't see the need to protect all anymore, just themselves.
And so it goes here in the US. The RW tells us how we need more and more defense, but only from things they can kill and blow up. Health just doesn't have those cool toys and if people are attacked by cancer or whatever else it is not important - because they don't really care about saving lives and liberty.
Why can't we come together once more and fight that which is killing us day in and out?
Someday we will ALL need health care, even if you are healthy now you will get older. You will get sick. And like so many are now, you will suffer and your freedoms will dwindle as you become debilitated.
War and being attacked by others is not certain. Failing health and illness are.
