President Obama told the troops in Iraq today. "Transition to the Iraqis" has come.
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/white_house/jan-june09/obama_iraq_04-07.html

"The troops erupted in huge cheers as their commander in chief said Iraqis also need to take responsibility for their country, the Associated Press reported."

snip..

"The White House said that the top U.S. commander in Iraq, General Ray Odierno, told the president that even with bombings this week in Iraq, the level of violence in the country is the lowest since the start of the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003.

Arriving in Baghdad not long after a deadly car bomb exploded across town, Mr. Obama spoke favorably of political progress being made in Iraq but also expressed concern that recent gains could deteriorate with the upcoming national elections."

Looks like the stage is set for the Iraq's to perform for the world!

1. But, now they are broke?
Sounds like they want to be part of our Stimulus Plan, like everybody else.

Time to get busy and take care of their own country. They never wanted us there, but now don't want us to leave?

3. They get 95%, but that was after the prices dropped.
Weren't some factions siphoning off shiploads for a long time? I seem to recall Cheney had his finger in the mess.
