Oye Como Va: Carlos Santana wants Obama to legalize pot
http://rawstory.com/blog/2009/04/oye-como-va-carlos-santana-wants-obama-to-legalize-pot/

"President Barack Obama brushed off a question about legalizing marijuana in his online town hall last month, but guitar god Carlos Santana says he wishes he would seriously consider it," the Associated Press reports.

"Legalize marijuana and take all that money and invest it in teachers and in education," Santana told the AP. "You will see a transformation in America."

1. yes, but...
if we legalize marijuana... who are we going to get to harvest it.
Everyone knows American workers will not take field jobs at $50 hr to pick buds.

We will have to import workers to keep up with the demand...

ok... I will put down the bong now.

3. The reverse dynamics of the industrial age stampede to the cities
would happen. There would be a mad rush back to rural America to become pot farmers.

4. A better solution
would be to abolish any and all laws pertaining to growing, selling or using marijuana. It would soon have next to no value as people would know it for what it is.
