What are you perceptions of American foreign aid?

1. Endangered.
I know that there's some confidence at the upper levels of USAID that funding levels can be maintained or even, in some programs, expanded. But, my gut feeling tells me otherwise. A vulnerable target for Congressional budget cuts.

2. Funny
Why across the Atlantic, both sides of the House (Labour and Conservative) see foreign aid as a vital tool and are supportive of the UK's efforts to reach the MDGs. On the US side, there has been cut after cut of USAID funding and even US MCC funding.
