"Under President Bush's Authority, they've been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list an executing them and leaving."

4. Thinking tonight about Wellstone, for whatever reason, and thinking
About how Cheney had told him to watch out if he didn't change his mind in defying the President's stance on Iraq, I got chills reading this.

RIP Senator. your wife, daughter and staff and pilots too.

And may justice yet come down on the house of Cheney.

17. Give me to tonight - my editor from Coastal Post
Edited on Fri Apr-03-09 01:30 PM by truedelphi
Emailed me some links about six months after I wrote my Coastal Post story. They should be on my hard drive - there is a chilling article written about how Cheney met with Wellstone, or had staff relay to Wellstone that his views on opposing Iraq were not at all appreciated, and that the Senator woul dbe wise to immeidately suspend those beliefs.

Only six weeks or month before the plane went down. And don't forget -- Ted Kennedy was supposed to be aboard that planbe but missed it at the last moment!

This is not the most updated article in the world -= and it proves nothing - but does offer some information

21. Ted Kennedy did not miss the plane at the last moment
Edited on Mon Apr-06-09 10:45 PM by dflprincess
it was a private flight - surely they would have waited for Senator Kennedy had he been scheduled to be on the plane. But that was not the case.

The original plan for that day was that he and Wellstone were going to spend the morning and early afternoon campaigning in the metro area and, later in the day go up to Duluth for a rally.

Wellstone changed the schedule when he decided to attend a funeral in northern Minnesota. Kennedy stayed in Minneapolis and stuck to the original schedule. He did plan to meet Wellstone in Duluth later.

What has never been confirmed by either Wellstone or Kennedy's people is whether or not the original plan would have had them on the same plane to Duluth (or if they would have flown at all - Wellstone really did not like flying) had Wellstone not changed the schedule. Certainly, it seems logical that they would have flown up there together. What's scary is, had they flown up there together, that plane could have gone into Lake Superior and perhaps never been found.

Discuss the NTSb report I received with J. Kent. (Coastal Post article runs here: www.coastalpost.com/03/05/06.htm )

Kent held a rather high post inside the bureacracy of San Francisco, and had been an "amateur" pilot for many years.

When I handed him the copy of the NTSB report and he sat reading it, he came back to me with this comment "Did you notice that the plane went down shortly after 11Am and yet it burned until just before 6Pm. This is an extraordinary length of time for a plane this size to burn - even given that fire crews did not venture out to the woods to put the fire out."

Most people do not realize that no one removed the bodies inside the plane until the following morning. I found this aspect extraordinary also.

Just two weeks before the plane had gone down - The Homeland Security people had issued a broad and fierce warning tothe effect that there was information that the terrorists wnated to take out any Senators that they could manage to take out. Now a Senator's plane goes down, and instead of Homeland Security going immediately to the site, and securing the area, and marking it off as a crime scene, they let these victim's bodies stay in the plane overnight.

First of all, if nothing else, that is a slap in the face to the Senator. After all, if it had been Bush's plane that had gone down, would his body have stayed in the burnt-out rained-out corpse of a crash plane? Of course not.

But even before there was any type of investigation, the crash was ruled as NOT BEING A TERRORIST caused result! So exactly how did they know it was not Al Queda??

19. I found this quote on my hard drive
Didn't, unfortuantely, state where I got it, or whether I checked it out:

Before his death, Sen. Paul Wellstone met with vice president, Dick Cheney, who threatened him: "If you vote against the war in Iraq, the Bush administration will do whatever is necessary to get you. There will be severe ramifications for you..."

Might have been off Fetzer's website. Plan on talking with him over the next few weeks, and maybe opening up a topic on the plane crash.
