4. I can remember during a 70's fitness program
a lady ate from a can of dog food and encouraged it's use as a diet aid. It was also common food for some of the poor.

So, I was wondering the same thing?

6. Well, yes and no.
I read a report of a senior woman trying to get her dog to eat the food and she tasted it to convince the dog. Though to me honest I can't remember if she just got real sick or actually died.

With the food stamp program widened to include everyone under 200% of poverty level, not just families with children, then we have less of old folks eating pet food.

9. She's apparently alive enough to be complaining about the results
of her bizarre eating habits.

IMHO she may very well be somewhat less than truthful about the whole thing. Something about this has got my fakery radar up.

7. Last week in Puerto Rico
it was discovered that some Americans are going down there to film homeless individuals doing humilliating stuff do themselves. One of them was asked to eat cat food for $5. The guy ate it, and a couple of minutes later, he started vomiting like crazy, and that was filmed. The homeless guy had to be taken to the hospital for "food poisoning"...

So...
