People on Medicare...

...argue against a single-payer health insurance system.

Military and government workers rail against "socialism" forgetting where their paychecks and retirement checks come from.

That is how fucking insane the USA is.

1. Isn't something like 60% of the country already on government programs
for health care?

through my now deceased father's insurance SAMBA (Special Agents Mutual Benefit Association). When I tried to talk to her about single payor healthcare she one, thinks she will lose her present set up and two, that we are headed down the path of socialism. Did I mention she is as bound to Fox News as she is to the GOP? When I tell her that she is using socialistic styled insurance she denies it and won't answer me when I inquire: Why can't I have what you have? Mind you my mom is 92 years old who has had open heart surgery and a survivor of breast cancer. Her SAMBA coverage paid for EVERYTHING! She had wonderful treatment and is for the myriad of problems older folks have as did my dad for problems he encountered. I am so glad they were covered but..............what about the rest of us? My MIL pays about three hundred a month for Medicare + some for her AARP co-pay. My mother pays $237.00 a month!!! No problem with pre-existing conditions either. Can you tell I get heated over this subject?

Do you think people like Alan Spector who has had lots of medical coverage would have been able to foot the bill even with his senator's salary without his socialistic insurance? Ted Kennedy? These guys need to be reminded of that...constantly reminded.

Scroll down page to see premiums....on further examination I see they are paying some more for services when rendered but most of us would love what they have. A few years ago, SAMBA changed some....used to be better but it is still great compared to what most have.

3. I think if medicare covered everyone we would all have better care, including
current medicare coverage-which is not so good on preventive healthcare.
