2. And he'll keep saying that
Right up until the moment he does. Why in the world would anyone give any credence to a single word out of Coleman's mouth?

11. AIG Executive?
He probably got a job offer he couldn't refuse.
Maybe he is going to take the place of one of the several AIG execs who just resigned.

6. I assume he means SCOTUS.
I can't imagine that they won't appeal to the SCOMN. It's too easy. On the other hand, I can virtually guarantee that the Minnesota court will refuse to hear. They're going to rely on the three-judge panel.

7. It might be true...
As I recall Franken threatened to sue Coleman for legal fees that would be allowed up front to cover the cost of the appeal meaning that Coleman would have to pony up some millions of dollars pre appeal to Franken to just start the appeal. Sounds like the piggy bank might be empty and no one is wanting to keep betting on a dead horse.

12. He would win in SCOTUS (5-4 worst case) easily. (7/9 republicans)

14. Nope. They won't hear the case. It's a state issue.
That's my prediction, should it come to a SCOTUS appeal. I'm betting that Scalia has already told Coleman that, confidentially. I don't think the MN Supremes will hear it either. They'll just let the ruling from the panel appointed by the Chief Justice stand.

I'll check back in after the ruling and after Franken is seated.

21. I hope you are right. But I don't see Scalia along with his other republican judges
passing up a chance to seat a republican senator. I don't see why Roberts, Scalia, Thomas and the others would not hear it.

22. It's not important enough for them to demonstrate
their bias. It will only bring the Democratic majority to 59. AT 58, they're able to push through what they want.

Right now, the sense of the public is that they are pissed off and don't want to hear about SCOTUS obstructing things.

The wingers on the SCOTUS are going to pick their battles. This is not the one. By simply refusing to hear the case on the basis of it being a state issue, they avoid the problem.

Scalia's an ass, but he's not stupid. They'll stand together, but not on this loser of a case.

13. Rumor has it that coleman will be the next RNC chief
But that's just an ubsubstantiated rumor and in no way should be taken as gospel truth. Of course, I have no doubt that the radical wing of the party is sorry about Steele ever getting the chairmanship so...we shall see I guess.

16. The Winger republicans don't like Normie.
He's a RINO of the first order, as far as they are concerned. Don't forget that he supported the "traitor" McCain vigorously. They don't want Normie.

17. Probably because he knows the MN Supreme Court will order Franken certified and seated.
And when that happens, what's the point? His goal, after it was clear he'd never actually win this election, along with the GOP in general, was to deny the seat to the Democrats.

When Franken is seated, yes, he could continue to wage battle in the courts, but there's little point if he can no longer prevent Franken from actually being a Senator.
