this retort. . ."what, you much prefer loot & waste. . . ?"

Aaand what the heck is even remotely conservative about the fiscal practices of the last 8 years with no accountability or oversight. . .?

I've been going on about this for a long while. . .

2. Great rendition on what I'VE been saying about Repukes: "The Borrow and Waste Party".
We can't say "Borrow and Spend" because spending sometimes implies a ROI. There is nothing; not ONE damned thing the Repukes can say "we've given you this in return". NOTHING. All burnt to a crisp like their numerous victims of empire.

17. The Repukes gave us a LOT
The Iraq War, Katrina and the destruction of New Orleans, the biggest divide between rich and poor of any major industrialized country, the worst financial disaster since the Great Depression, massive deficits, torture, the biggest loss of trust for the US in the entire world, and the largest amount of recruiting for terrorist organizations ever.

And as is said above, loot and waste.

13. You are very welcome.
Hope you find it to be useful.

It's always hinges on the delivery. If one smiles, whilst saying that, it slays that old saw thoroughly.

I thought Obama dealt with it adeptly by saying something to the effect of "where have you guys been over the last eight years. . .?"

When I heard that derisive mantra reiterated ad nauseum this morning, one the k-news, I felt as though my head would truly explode.

That would have made an awful mess.

9. Yes, I've been saying "As opposed to just spend...money we don't have" but I like yours much better!
Much catchier and has the added heft (much deserved) of criminal intent...
:)

16. I always like to point out that Saint Ronnie raised taxes more than any peacetime president
in US history. Of course, no one in the Reagan administration was allowed to talk about the tax increases no matter what kind of tax it was or how justified they were.

19. Republicans would much rather "borrow and spend" so they can pay MORE for something (aka Interest)
"tax and spend" is the adult, responsible way of funding government.

Time to grow up, Republicans.

20. like the republicans shied away from spending. the difference???
it's called BORROW and spend. at least the dems during clinton were paying for what they spent. right now obama HAS to borrow and spend. because we are in a shitstorm and we can't be sparing the protective gear.
