Sorry, Bernie Madoff does not count. He defrauded lots of people, funds and charities... but he did not systemically destroy the financial system like the Big Banks and their top brass did.

So far by my count... NONE.

1. The Govt needs to look at Joseph Cassano.
Sounds like he perpetuated a huge fraud and was lying to his own company about the risks he was incurring.

3. That would be my count as well, but I am hoping that the DOJ is looking at this...
and we may find out that they mean business in the not to distant future.

5. None..they didn't break any laws..
the government let them loose with the candy jar. You can't blame them for stuffing their faces. They'll probably high-tail it out of this country pretty quick, once they've gotten the last itty-bitty piece of candy left.

7. AS Obama said, the dirty little secret is that most is legal. Transactions or misleading sale pitch?
I'm for hauling in Cassano to explain to Congress what was done, publicly.

11. If it was illegal before 1980
then line them up and shoot them. Including the bastards who changed the laws for the benefit of the criminals.

12. What would laws in the 1970's have to do with it? You sound like the anti-choice people.

13. Well, here's the easy part - NOTHING that Chimpy signed should be considered valid
Because that son of a bitch himself was never elected President.

The previous 20 years before that would obviously be a bit more difficult to undo, but if we are to save this country, then that's what MUST happen.

Because of what FDR did, this country was protected from these criminals for nearly 50 years. And while it was certainly no utopia (Depression, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, all the Bush Crime Family assassinations of the 1960's, etc) there was a strong middle class and a stable and prosperous REAL economy. As opposed to this fictional Wall Street bullshit "economy" that the corporate media tried to tell us was "strong" under Chimpy up until last September.

14. Are there any websites that are keeping track of who are/were the biggest crooks in all this?
I mean besides the Republicans who deregulated everything for 30 years, so wealthy crooks could finish off the U.S., take its jobs away, steal the people's money, etc.?
