Manson at 74

In a Dec. 17, 1970 file photo, right, Charles Manson is pictured en route to a Los Angeles courtroom. At left Manson is shown in a photo made and released Wednesday March 18, 2009 by California corrections officials. The photo of the 74-year-old Manson was taken Wednesday as part of a routine update of files on inmates at Corcoran State Prison.

8. yeah, well, that too....
I guess it's mainly the salt-and-pepper beard that strikes me as similar. Oh, and I just got back from his old stomping grounds in Saline Valley yesterday! It's six degrees of Charles Manson!

10. I so remember the evil that used to come flowing out of that man/or whatever he is...
Don't believe in Capital Punishment, but if I did he would certainly be a prime candidate (even now).

2. One evil POS still to this day..... The big question is, what happens when he finally passes?
Edited on Sun Mar-22-09 08:27 PM by LakeSamish706
Does he get some just reward following this life.. ie: Hell would be appropriate IMHO.... and I'm sure in Sharon Tate's opinion and her family. Although Sharon Tate is not here to give her opinion, thanks to this monster.

5. My guess?
His life force will have to filter through some infinite aquifer to get the evil out.

9. This is one SOB that should have rode Ole Sparky into hell
The evil he's orchestrated in his life should have brought him to hell's gates years ago. But he gets 3 hots and a cot, and better medical care than many of the elderly in this country.

11. It's ironic that we have his twin in Canada.... Clifford Olson... He was a mass...
murder in and around the Surrey/Agassiz area in BC Canada a number of years ago. He is every bit as evil as Manson and I think killed something like 13 kids in all.

13. Always thought he was one scary, creepy dude
and I still do.
Reminds me that I want to read Helter, Skelter. Well, not want but maybe am curious enough to read it but I'm sort of worried about nightmares.

16. There's another book that I think is even better than Helter Skelter.
Edited on Sun Mar-22-09 09:53 PM by lob1
The book is called "The Family". I think the author's name is Ed Saunders, but I'm not sure. Whatever, he was a member of a popular underground band in the 60's called "The Fugs". Because of his notoriety, he got to interview people that the D.A. never even talked to. He got to the underbelly of the underbelly, and he said in the beginning of the book that he couldn't tell everything he found out, because he'd end up dead, and not from Manson or the family. I believe he hinted at gangster connections and killings. The difference between the two books is "The Family" is more about Manson, the family, their friends, and their lifestyles. How things got to be the way they did. Although the books cover some of the same ground, "Helter Skelter" is more about how Bugliosi convicted Manson.
