Surviving A Lynch Mob - AIG Internal Staff Memo
Via Gawker: Considering the profound social unrest surrounding just about every aspect of their entire existence, AIG disseminated the following memo to their staffers to help them avoid getting hoisted by their necktie the nearest lamppost.

1. This is hilarious but it begs a question
Is AIG using taxpayers money to provide security guards at the homes of its executives?

13. Why is this hilarious?
People are threatening to kill and lynch AIG employees. They probably aren't the type to discriminate even against executives and low level paper pushers. The country is in a bitter blood frenzy. People could be seriously hurt in this fallout. That is "funny"?

6. I imagine a scene where they change into bike messenger uniforms in the basement
and peddle out of the parking garage

3. Umm...perhaps they could have added
"Quit drinking the American people's blood and eating their children for supper, you greedy no-profit-making jackals!"

Or maybe something a little stronger. This looks quite a bit milder than I had in mind.....

Put some round tables in the lobby. If you have to make your way through an angry mob, turn a table on its side and using the table as a shield, roll your way through the wall of human flesh.

6 years of college wasn't wasted on me!

5. People are sooooooo sick and tired of the criminal elite
People are suffering, hungry, their children are ill and can't get help, and meanwhile the ELITE want to CONTINUE the theft of the middle class and working poor.

We're in a French Revolution state of mind.

8. one of the comments:
"If they see an angry lynch mob, it does no good to run. Pull out your bonus money and throw it to the mob."

9. I think it will happen. I hope it doesn't but I think there will be a murder of an AIG employee

by some idiot wanting their pound of flesh.

10. They have the same thing at walmart/sams club - what to do when a mob or protest appears
I saw the open page one day - weird why it was left out, but that's what they do. Real community spirit... comrades. :evilfrown:

11. Oh Nooooo! See what those scary Code Pink ladies did!
Code Pink is the first 'mob' that's bothered to get in the same room with them and it's been the closest brush they've had with the 'little people' and now look what they're doing. Scared the crap out of them!

:scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

12. I'd like to add a few suggestions.
Triple the tips you give to your gated community security staff.

Deepen the moats around each of your "second" homes.

Don't wear the jewel encrusted watches unless you absolutely have to.

Be sure your each of your family Hummers are up-armored.

:patriot:

14. This is probably the most responsible thing AIG has done in years
It would not surprise me at all if there are genuine threats to AIG employees, and it would sicken me if some random employee was hurt or killed as a result of criminal behavior of the executives. (And I certainly wouldn't support violence or vigilantism against those executives, either...)
