IMO the Economy will not turn around until Obama shows the world
we will live up to our Treaty Obligations and investigate and Prosecute if there is cause for torture. According to the Geneva Conventions which we signed, the world chose the Red Cross as being the ones to definitively say whether torture occurred or not and if they say it occurred then we must by Treaty do something about it. The world will either look up to America or it will look down on America and torture is the lynch pin. It is after all a Global Economy and we have to have people and countries trust our commitments. If they can not they won't deal with us.

1. IMO the Economy will not turn around until Obama shows the world
that we will STOP rewarding the pervasive FRAUD in our financial system, that those responsible for malfeasance and manipulation will be prosecuted and that we will end the accounting tricks and off balance sheet games and bring FULL TRANSPARENCY to our banking system.we must purge ALL of the bad debt form the system and restore the confidence in our banking system wich has been lost, through sound lending practices, manageable leverage, complete transparency and responsible management.....

2. I agree with you.
There a a lot of things this country needs to do, but the first priority is to get our economy back on track, and like you I think that is going to show the world we are serious, and that the U.S. will no longer follow the failed policies of the last 8 years, nor will we continue on the same path of greed that has been allowed for even longer!

Getting this country and the world back on track financially is number 1, the rest will follow once we take care of this problem!
