I Fucking Hate Republicans
I don't know how anyone can not be embarrassed as all hell to call themselves a Republican. I wouldn't date a Republican, I can barely even be friends with one. I don't know how some of you people do it, associating yourselves with these kinds of people.

I don't remember when this happened, because I used to not really feel one thing or another towards someone else's political stances, but I guess Bush did it. Anybody who can still proudly call himself a Republican after THAT is someone with problems.

1. As long as it's kept at a superficial level, I can deal with them...
Otherwise, I tend to just laugh at them. And then they get mad. And then I laugh some more.

It goes downhill from there.

6. I can't stand them either........
I believe people like that, or with their way of thinking are cause for many of the worlds problems. They seem to embody all the bad traits in us all such as greed, hate, ignorance, corruption ect.

I generally just try to avoid them at all costs.

7. My wife still calls herself a Republican. She's very old-school; a Goldwater type.
There was a time, far back in the mists of history, before the Flood, or thereabouts, when the Republican Party was an honorable institution. I think she looks to that time, rather than focus on the present sleazy, tawdry, inept, laughable, pathetic morass the G.O.P. has become.

She came a hair's breadth away from voting for Barack Obama in this last election. She only voted for McCain because she respected who he used to be, and in spite of deep misgivings about Sarah Palin. I remember her being furious with the RNC. "Did they think I'd vote for her just because she's a woman?" was a frequent refrain of hers leading up to Election Day. She really likes President Obama and thinks he's doing a fantastic job so far.

The last eight years would have been intolerable if she hadn't hated Bush just as much as I did, and if she hadn't been so upset by the war in Iraq just like me. She is a smart, strong, beautiful woman.

8. My parents are conservatives though registered as independents. They love Rush, voted for Bush.
I have to interact with them on a daily basis as they help me by watching my children. Nice people but terribly misguided. Many are like my parents. Some are downright ugly and not worth the air they breathe.

Especially here when it comes to Republicans.

20. I hate that saying as much as I hate repigs,
I was raised hearing it. Being around evilgelicals.
I used to be tolerant of others religion, points of view, and choices to be repigs.
After 30 years of rpig rule(even clinton gave into them so I see him as a sell out especially after DOMA and DADT. Being gay and having been outed and put out of the Navy and my chosen profession.
Repeatedly screwed over by rpigs again and again, they are not allowed in my home or on my property. I want nothing to do with the cross burners or the rpigs.
I was not always like this, but after dealing with them for all of my 47 years of life I have no further patience for them. period.
Bushco was the last straw when he and darth cheney got our kids dead for oil in Iraq and the deaths of so many innocents there, the theft of billions from our treasury for their oil war profiteer butties.
No more slack ever. I won't go into all that went into making me hate them, but beleive me I have a long list of reasons very long.
No slack whatsoever at all. I don't even talk to my own mother any more, she has found bill o and gawd in her older years, knowing how offensive I find folks telling me what a sin my being gay is.

11. i simply cannot understand this attitude
i have friends who are repubs.

i have family members who are repubs.

i don't hate anybody based on their political affiliations.

that's just a very sad, bitter way to live imo.

12. Puzzling?
The only real difference between most dems & repubs is the lip service bullshit they give you to get elected. After that it is a regular everyday good ole boys club. The sad part is when people live and breathe every word they say as if they are super heroes or something. People need to get their head out the sand and quit being blind followers.

14. i just don't see any correlation
between politics and whether somebody is funny, or interesting, or a good person, or a loyal friend, or whatever.

and i think that hating people, especially those you don't know, merely because they have some different beliefs, is kind of silly.

i actually have some very good friends who are mormons, and i disagree with them on TONS of stuff, but they are great people, and i'm not hatin' anybody because they have a different political position than me.

16. I have people who I love who are Republicans and I could no more hate them
than I could hate myself. Embracing hate is a sad a bitter way to live yet here the hatred of Republicans has a noble and self righteous justification. In doing so we become the opposite side of the coin of those who we profess to hate. Ironic, isn't it?

18. exactly.
i judge people by the content of their character, not their political affiliation. and hating somebody who believes differently than me is just wrong on so many levels imo.

if i ever start hating people merely because i disagree with them, then i will have diminished myself.

22. I am really referring to those self righteous holier than thou
and the fascists that are destroying our country.
I do have respect for good ol fashioned real republicans, not these neokkkons.
I have had to deal with attempted murder, cross burnings, being fired from my job when I did a good job, being cheated. I have reason.
I do not nor will I associate with such. I have a peaceful pleasant life that my partner and I are building together. We don't need or want the strife those people have brought into our lives previously, nor do we want them in control of our country or the debate. They are selfish and mean spirited and spiteful.
The massive theft of tax funds for wars for oil, the lies, Patriot act stealing our rights, being investigated, having our phones tapped and threats uttered by the Bush NSA..I have reason to hate them. I stuck with the Christian belief that there was good in them for so very long, but find they are unredeemable.
I don't have to associate, talk to, deal with etc, I m not bitter I am more at peace when I don't try to get neokons to see reason. Its for my sanity and peace of mind.
If I could find anything in their respective characters I might could deal with them, I do not find anything to admire in close minded purposeful ignorance or lies.
Im not trying to pick a fight, my opinion only.
Kick any dog often enough and he will bite.

19. I don't. As a human being, I know for fact (at times) all we have left to cling to is,...
,...pride or belief/prejudice/distinction.

I married a man registered as a republican. The republican registration was never what made him the man I love.

I think,...assertion of diviseness is a means of oppression.

That is just what I think.

24. What do you think, then,
of the constant demand for division from the GOP and from their fellow conservative democrats?

I note that you and hubby enjoyed full marriage rights as if everyone had that available to them, as if it were nothing. Some folks don't even see what they have, much less understand the lives of others. Typical haze minded privilige speak.
So when y'all assert your divisiveness upon millions of Americans, that is not oppression? When your hubby's party grandstands against decent families, that is what, if not oppression? When they stand against hate crimes legislation, against protections in the workplace and in obtaining housing, what do you call that?

and I used to be a Republican and grew up in a Republican family.

The thing I hate most about them is their clinging to things that have obviously failed.
