So they needed to give "Morning Joe" a boost...
MSNBC has replaced, for now, its early morning newscast "First Look" with a re-air of "The Rachel Maddow Show." <...>

An insider tells TVNewser the goal is to give "Morning Joe" the best lead-in possible.

In November, 2005 CNN replaced its 5am ET newscast "Daybreak" with a re-air of AC360 leading in to "American Morning." Fox News re-airs "The O'Reilly Factor" at 5am ET weekdays leading in to "Fox & Friends."

So they needed to give "Morning Joe" a boost. Can't imagine why. And this move also pits Rachel against Billo. Guess who MSNBC trusts...

1. The Newsbreak hour was really a 10-minute "show", run 6 times in a row
:)

6. Yeah, but an hour of sane, intelligent talk just before Scarborough?
You'd almost think they're attempting to edumacate their listeners.

9. It might force Joe to deal with some of the issues brought up by Rachel.

2. I find it ironic that right-winger Scarborough needs a
liberal lead-in to up his ratings.

3. Morning blow.... the dude insists on talking over people, he has a
Chrislike (no T) penchant for speaking right over people who are in mid sentence. If there is one thing I will not listen to it is 2, 3 or 4 people speaking at the same time. It's uncivil... it's not reality tv, it's just insane.

7. Joe Scarborough is intolerable, and Mika Mouse lost me when she
groveled over Sarah Palin.

8. A re-air of the show the night before?
I guess there really is no 'news' on Morning Joe.

10. So If I'm Up That Early - I'd Watch Rachel & Flip Channels When Joe The Scar Comes On....
Edited on Sat Mar-21-09 11:37 PM by global1
MSNBC is trying to save A.M. Joe - that says the show is in trouble. If we don't fall for the Rachel ploy - maybe we can finally rid him and Mika in the morning and have someone decent to watch - as long as it's not Witt or O'Donnell.
