CNN Poll: Most Americans say Obama is doing too much
(looks like some people are falling for the media talking points)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The ailing economy. Health care. Bank bailouts. Troop deployments. Is President Obama juggling too many balls? A new national survey indicates the answer is yes.

President Obama, according to those polled in a new survey, has been busier than they are comfortable with.

Fifty-five percent of the people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday say that since he's taken over in the White House, Obama has tried to handle more issues than he should have. Forty-three percent say he hasn't bitten off more than he can chew.

"In his first weeks in office, Barack Obama did not focus exclusively on the economy, but instead announced new policies and proposals on everything from education to health care to Afghanistan and Iraq," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "He gets high marks on most of those issues, but it seems that many Americans are worried that he might lose his focus on economic recovery."

On Tuesday, Obama responded to criticism that he's trying to do too much, saying, "What I say is that the challenges we face are too large to ignore."

3. Typical example of the media poisoning the minds of people
If he was only doing one thing. The media would be saying as President he needs to be doing more than one thing at a time.

4. what a bunch of fucking tools
yet another negative byproduct of the do-nothing GOP congress that set records for fewest days working and the oft-vacationing Bush.

Now these stupid fat fuck Americans with their DVR's think Obama is trying to do too much.

GO FUCK YOURSELVES CORPORATE AMERICA. You are the origin of our consumer based retardation of our once great country.

5. Well, they're all connected to the economy.
I don't see what issues he can drop if he wants to fix it.

6. That's What 8 Years Under An Underachiever Will Do For You
Plus Obama's uncanny ability to speak in complete sentences.

Have they done a poll on that yet?

7. Well
Being that most of these people just recently woke up to the truth, it is not surprising that for them "It's too much."

Just wait til the indictments of Bushco come down. The people are gonna have a cow!

9. Gotta start somewhere.
Typical fast-food me-me-me mentality. Obama realizes that he has a lot of work to do, and the lightning pace of his agenda is not yet about actually accomplishing goals, but getting the conversations started, the playing field groomed, and the players ready for the game.

14. If you read the full article,
it sounds like the poll is teasing out what they want to emphasize. What the CNN clowns have
totting for the last weeks.

"The poll also suggests that a majority of those questioned, 58 percent, feel that the president's programs are just about right for the country. Around 36 percent say Obama's proposals are too liberal, and 5 percent say they are not liberal enough. On the issues, 59 percent say they approve of how the president is handling the economy, 57 percent like how Obama's dealing with health care, 63 percent approve of how he's handling energy policy and 65 percent back him when it comes to education reform.

Of those polled. 66 percent like how Obama is dealing with foreign affairs, with 63 percent approving of how the president is handling Iraq, 67 percent agreeing with him on Afghanistan and 61 percent approving of how he's handling terrorism."

It would seem that the country is pretty happy with how this guy is running the country.

16. Wait a minute...
55-43, given the margin of error in most polls we can say about 50% of the people say (according to CNN) that President Obama is trying to do too much (funny isn't that one of the Republican talking points). To me that doesn't say 'most people' say he is doing too much it says more people say that he is doing to much than say he isn't.

:wtf:

Is this the mentality that we've been reduced to as a country not to mention the lack of critical thinking skills that might lead more people to realize how interconnected all of those issues are in regards to economic recovery? I'd also like to know exactly what else "the public" thinks that he might be doing in regards to economic recovery that he hasn't done already or is proposing? C'mon people!! If "the public" thinks he's doing too much or not focusing on something that he should be, "the public" should be writing and calling the WH and/or their Congresscritters and letting them know what "the public" thinks!!!! All of these problems, contrary to what Bush might have led us to believe, are simply NOT going to fix themselves!!!

:silly:

I guess we've forgotten what it's like to have a (workaholic) Democratic POTUS when everytime we have a Republican in the WH, they just give their cronies and donors the keys to the federal government and let them to do anything they want- at the EXPENSE of the rest of the country.

21. Obama is simply cleaning up the shit Bush left behind. That is all.
If it looks like Obama is doing "too much," maybe voters next time should think very hard about whom they cast a vote for, or maybe they simply got used to an idiotic president who couldn't do one thing right.
