Madagascar President Says Power Handed To Military
Source: AP

ANTANANARIVO, Madagascar – Madagascar's president says he has handed over power to the military.

In a radio address Tuesday, President Marc Ravalomanana says he is stepping down and a military directorate will take over.

There has been no immediate reaction from the opposition leader who has pressed Ravalomanana to resign so he could take his place.
