A romantic inn in Vermont is giving away free trips - the catch, you have to be unemployed

A little B&B in Vermont is going to throw a few lucky unemployed folks a bone.

Rabbit Hill, in Lower Waterford, Vermont is giving away six getaways to unemployed workers.

Rabbit Hill bills itself as a "romantic and luxurious Vermont bed and breakfast country inn." ForbesTraveler.com agrees, listing it as one of the ten most romantic inns in the country.

If you or your spouse have been unemployed for more than six months, you can send a letter or email to Rabbit Hill Inn by June 1 to enter to win one of the getaways.

Why are the inn's owners Leslie and Brian Mulcahy doing it?

"I know firsthand what it's like to be unemployed," Brian said.

Winners will recieve two nights lodging, gourmet dinner for two, candelit breakfast and afternoon tea.

You can visit the company's Web site at www.rabbithillinn.com to get contact information.

4. I'm not sure that RHI needs to do promotions- even in this economy
to say that people rave about the place, and that they return year after year, is an understatement.

2. I'm reading and hearing a lot of good stories regarding the generosity
of so many people. I loved the one about the hospital employees who decided to less hours, less vacation, no raises, etc. so that no one would be laid off. Good stuff and we need the media to start talking a lot about this. This would be an epidemic we could all benefit from.

3. And a tankful of gasoline to get there?
I'll stuff my Army jacket with dinner rolls on my way out of the dining room.

5. I think they'd just give you the dinner rolls
if not the tank of gas.
